Portland Cello Project:

Portland’s premiere alt-classical group brings a huge, orchestral ensemble to perform a night in homage to infinitely variable nature of music. Expect an evening of unique renditions connecting and contrasting all sorts of music as unpredictably-and-yet-comforting as the pacific northwest weather from which the cellist hail, wandering from the truly epic to the breathtakingly intimate. 

 

There is something in the best of all music, regardless of its history or associations, that has an intoxicating timelessness, from Bach to Coltrane to Radiohead to Elliott Smith to Taylor Swift. Sometimes shifting the context slightly while seeking out this timeless quality is all that's needed to bridge communities together.
