Black Sheep Brass Band: Individually, the Black Sheep Brass-ers were born with instruments internal, making sonorous music from the first laugh, cry and baby gurgle. Collectively, cosmic forces joined these musical magicians throughout the past seven years, in the avenues and alleys of Downtown Santa Rosa, to give birth to something holy knew of their own. From the phattest hip hop barnyard beats, to the funkadelic wild of Jungle Jazz, the Black Sheep surely have a rhythmic recipe to make your feet move to unimaginable improvisations, no matter the wild beauty, beast or domestic animal you may be. So, come all you Concrete Jungle Cats and Country Kittens, let us celebrate the majestic unfoldings of space and time through brass, beats and harmonious rhyme.

Barrio Manouche:

San Francisco-based acoustic ensemble performs a repertoire of original compositions with an emotionally charged sound that is difficult to classify yet instantly recognizable. The group’s international roots shine brightly in their music with members from Spain, Quebec, France, Brazil and California and deeply influenced by a range of musical traditions. Barrio Manouche has been recognized for its surprise concerts, innovative style, complex technique, and their passion for their musical improvisations. With latest collaborations including French Flamenco dancer Fanny Ara, African sacred dance by Brazilian dancer Emaye Ama Mizani, as well as Colombian singer Iván Rondón, Barrio Manouche plays what is perhaps the truest definition of World Music. Barrio Manouche is taking their audience on a magical journey, with a unique fusion of cultures and musical backgrounds, an auditory and visual feast like no others.
“Barrio Manouche makes magical acoustic music mashed together from all corners of the globe — a new form of Americana, if you will, where flamenco guitar drifts above Brazilian beats, clashing with Gypsy-jazz melodies. It could very well qualify as Americana in another decade or two. Or maybe its rich, gorgeous blend of acoustic Latin-French jazz will always remain distinctly Barrio Manouche.”

French Oak:
French Oak is a wild around the edges band, melding French Gypsy Jazz & Chanson, New Orleans Jazz, Roma Traditionals & Global Folk. North Bay Native and vocalist, Stella Heath, leads this band of gypsies in their undeniably fun performances! Featuring French/American guitar player, Gabriel Pirard; Reed player, James Inciardi, on Tenor, Baritone and Soprano Sax; Skyler Stover on Standup Bass; and Jamie Foster on Drums and Percussion. With their French-inspired global panoply of sounds spotlighting Heath’s magnetic vocals and the band’s tight rhythms they will transport you to lands unknown!
